Monthly Stockpile Volumetrics – Active Platinum Mine
A platinum mining operation required monthly stockpile volume reports accurate enough to satisfy their external auditors and DMRE reporting requirements. Previous contractor's manual surveys had ±3% inaccuracies that were causing revenue reconciliation issues.
Mathibe deployed a drone LiDAR system for monthly surveys. The result: ±0.3% volumetric accuracy confirmed by independent auditors, reports delivered by 08:00 the morning after fieldwork, and an 18-month ongoing contract renewed twice.
